Home decor in Mays group

We moved away from card making early May to home decor :-) Untreated wooden frames were sealed with mod podge, then embellished. I provided a variety of supplies and the group improvised, using my frame as a guide, but they personalised their frames. I loved how creative everyone was, some were a little apprehensive, but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the hostess who commented that is was her favourite class yet :-)

SU recipe :
Stamp set : Broadsheet alphabet, Inspired by Nature
Cardstock : Very vanilla, pink pirouette, old olive and various dsp (each crafter had a different paper from beau chateau and pocketful of posies)
Ink : Wild wasabi, marina mist, real red and chocolate chip
Tools : Embosslits die beautiful butterfly, Pearls, Doily triple layer punch, ribbon, 1 3/8 circle punch, mod podge, sanding block, Big shot multipurpose adhesive sheets
Techniques ; Stamping, heat embossing, big shot, sponging, punching

For this card we used the gloss cardstock which is so much easier to sponge and blend the colours for a more even background - the ink does not absorb but stays wetter on the glossy paper. We sponged the background then stamped the silhouette image and embellished with a few boho blossoms and circle cut outs and dazzling diamonds in the centre of the flowers. I love how serene this card it, simple and effective for any occassion. The inspiration for this card was from a card I saw a while ago whilst cruising peoples blogs, unfortunately I cant find it to give credit. Sorry.
