Happy Holidays atc

A Day for Daisies sponsored Wicked Wednesdays Happy Holidays challenge #136. This image is called Frosty :
The background was finger painted with Paper Artsy Fresco finish paints in candy floss and mermaid, then I lightly sponged some nougat over to soften it and give the feeling of clouds. We can have nice warm snow days too :) I sponged the edges of the atc with faded jean distress ink. The image was printed and colored with copics. I used a Marvy snow pen for the snowmans body. Its a pretty neat pen, you  color the snowman with the nib, let it dry and then heat it and it puffs up :
Thanks for stopping by x Have a great day

Something Girly atc

The sponsor of this weeks Wicked Wednesday atc challenge blog is A Day for Daisies. I got to work with this gorgeous little girl, Tiny Pixie Rose. Here is my design team creation, for the challenge Something Girly :
I used an oval die to frame her, the actual image is larger. She is colored with copics, artist pitt pens and highlights with a white gel pen. The background rose paper is from a 6x6 paperpack, Lost & Found 2, Blus by My Minds Eye. Her hat was fun, I sewed in various co-ordinating colors of embroidery thread. The digital image of Tiny Pixie Rose has a little bit of this on the top of the hat, but I wanted to further emphasize / exaggerate it :) She is so adorably beautiful, I loved bringing her to life.

Thanks for stopping by, Nikki x
