Its Wednesday ... time for ATC's

I just love Wicked Wednesday ATC challenges, every Wednesday there is a new one and I look forward to it each week :) Here is my design team make, using a gorgeous gal from All Dressed Up, called Just So Cool. The ATC challenge is Groovy Chicks.
She is colored with copics. The background chevron is a patterned paper, I added a little white acrylic paint in random spots to subdue it a little. The musical ground is Tim Holtz tissue paper, cut and glued down with matt medium. You cant event see the edge which is great because I tore it, not cut a straight line.

After I made the ATC I decided I would turn it into a Birthday card. I havent been doing this, I have been hoarding my makes, but I know my friends DD will just love this, so I used more of the paper and made it to a card :

ATC Color inspiration challenge

For this weeks Wicked Wednesday ATC #140, it is sponsored by All Dressed Up and inspired by this Color Palette :
I have used the image Love my ipad
She is colored with copics and I used diamond glaze/crystal effects for her glasses and the ipad screen. The background paper is from a 12 x 12 paperpack by DCWV called The Generation Tech stack.

I wanted this atc to be a bit techy, with the computer signs and also use some texting lingo. I decided on XOXO (Hugs and kisses), but there were a few others I considered : ILY (I love you), BFF (Best friends forever), CUL8R (See you later).

Favourite Color Combo - Wicked Wednesday challenge

The sponsor of this weeks Wicked Wednesday atc Challenge is All Dressed Up. I loved this Fairy Magic image, and here is my design team sample : The title of favourite color combo. I love pink with blue or green
She is colored with distress inks (salty ocean for the dress and ribbon), then I went over them with some co-ordinating blues and browns to add some depth and texture. Added a little white for highlights.
The wings and butterflies are colored with a little distress ink and then Tsukineko champagne mist. I love working with this, its so gorgeously transparent and shiny, and isn't too wet that it buckles the paper.

I left one of the butterflies outside of the atc and gave it wire antennae. The background is sponged in victorian velvet, edged in salty ocean and mounted on navy blue card stock.

I loved the sentiment. The wording Fairy Magic is already part of the image, but I added 'Believe in'. We all need a little bit of belief in something magical, dont we ?
