Candy Love

The new Goldilocks set from Vera Lane Studio is adorable, a gorgeous gal, a house, trees, words ... such great value to get all this in one set.

But the best thing about digital images is that you can resize them, rotate them, change the dimensions, layer them etc. Which is exactly what I have done on my ATC, Goldilocks is enjoying a big striped lollipop. Trees work as lollipops right ? lol

Goldilocks is coloured with copics, prisma colour pencils and gel pen. White highlights added with a sharpie white acrylic paint pen. I added a layer of crystal effects to her eyes and the lollipop. The background is made with water soluble powders, and I doodled in black and white. Finally washi tape for the ground. The words are typed on my typewriter and this ATC will go up for trade in the Vera Lane Studio facebook group, theme this month is Love.

Breathe ... It'll be OK

Today I am sharing a card I made using this adorable image from Vera Lane Studio, this is one of the images from the Tears set.

The image is coloured with copics, and sharpie paint pen. I added diamond glaze to the eyes, tear and red buttons. Isn't this just the most adorable image, one of my faves.

The background is made with a piece of text paper, I added a layer of watered down gesso. Then I used my distress crayons, in grey and black to achieve the darkened border, by colouring and then smudging the crayon with my finger.  I added some elements of light beige also to the centre to pick up on the hair colour. I then used a baby wipe with a heart stencil to remove some of the colour.

I typed the words on my type writer, and matted the card front onto a white base.

Be Wild

So today I'm poking a little fun at myself in my mini art journal, with the help of the adorable Mamma bear from Vera Lane Studio :

The background is distress inks, a star stencil and doodles with a white sharpie acrylic paint pen. The grassy ground is cut from card stock colourised with Dylusions spray. The mamma bear is from the new release at Vera Lane Studio, shes coloured with copics and artist pitt pen. Her glasses are from another set called Ester Jean, and I added a layer of diamond glaze to them. The tree is from Tree Lot and some of the words are from a set called The Winter Brothers and the 'A little' I typed on my typewriter.

Thanks so much for stopping by x

Today I choose to be happy

Look at the little dogs face, isn't he adorable :) He is from a set by Vera Lane Studio called Rescue puppies and he is coloured with prisma color pencils. The circles are from Vera's borders set.
The cloud is also by Vera Lane Studio ...so many clouds and other elements to be found there.

The background is made using watercolour powders, Nuance by Magenta.
The card front is matted onto a white card base. The words are from a word sticker set by Carpe Diem called Posh.
